About this policy

This policy describes information handled when you visit EmoteTube, a public emote gallery for use with supported YouTube chat tools. The site does not currently offer user accounts, sign-in, or a production emote-upload feature.

Information and how it is used

The site displays public emote names and images. Its emote API uses a requester IP address, obtained from request headers, to apply short-term in-memory rate limits. This value is used to protect the service and is not saved in the emote database by this application. Hosting and network providers may separately process request information, including IP addresses, in their own logs.

EmoteTube includes Vercel Analytics to understand general site usage. Vercel may process technical and visit information to provide analytics. EmoteTube does not use this analytics integration for advertising or cross-site ad profiling.

If uploads are enabled in a non-production environment, the upload service processes an image to resize and optimize it, then stores the resulting public image and emote details (name, dimensions, and file sizes). The original image is processed in memory and is not stored by the upload handler. Stored emote images are publicly accessible by URL. Do not submit private or sensitive images. Uploads are currently disabled in production.

Service providers

The site relies on third-party providers to operate. Vercel Analytics provides site analytics; Supabase stores emote records; and Cloudflare R2 stores emote images when uploads are enabled. Hosting and network providers may also process request information to deliver and protect the site. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies. Emote images may also be delivered through the site's public CDN.

Analytics, cookies, and choices

EmoteTube uses Vercel Analytics to understand general site usage. This may involve technical, browser, and usage information processed by Vercel and its analytics services. EmoteTube does not use analytics data for advertising or cross-site profiling.

EmoteTube does not currently provide account or preference features that require its own cookies. The browser or service providers may still use storage or similar technologies as part of site delivery or analytics; consult their policies for details. You may disable cookies in your browser or limit third-party content, though some site features may not work as intended.

Retention and deletion

Public emote records and image URLs may remain available for as long as the service uses them. Rate-limit entries are kept in server memory for a short window and then expire automatically. Uploaded emote metadata and object references are stored in Supabase for as long as the emote remains in the public library. If you need more information about a specific record or want a deletion request considered, contact [email protected].

EmoteTube does not currently offer a self-service account dashboard or automated data deletion portal. If the site later adds a public upload or user account feature, the deletion process will be updated and communicated through this policy.

Uploaded images and stored data

When upload features are enabled in non-production environments, EmoteTube processes submitted image files to validate format, optimize size, and generate public image URLs. The system may store the emote name, public URL, dimensions, original file size, optimized file size, and object reference in Supabase. The resulting image may also be stored in Cloudflare R2 and served publicly by URL.

Do not submit private, sensitive, or confidential images. Uploads are currently disabled in production, but this policy applies if upload functionality is enabled in the future.

Children and changes

EmoteTube is a general-purpose public gallery and is not directed to children. The service does not intentionally ask users to provide personal information. This policy may be updated as the site changes; the updated date above indicates the latest revision.
